We are super excited to see a playground pop-up and be utilized by the community over in Sardinia! A dedicated group of visionaries over in Sardinia + a $19,000 grant from the Decatur County Community Foundation can really make a huge impact for the community. It's awesome to see grant projects in-person and see the direct positive impact they have on the community so check it out for yourself if you can!
For any other visionary non-profits out there, be sure to check out our grants page and see how we can help make your idea become a reality: dccfound.org/grants/
I just finished the renal medicine/nephrology block at Indiana University School of Medicine and am happy to have a few days off for fall break before we begin our respiratory/pulmonology block.
In other news, my summer research project on heart failure that I conducted at Methodist and Eskenazi hospitals this year got accepted for presentation at the American Heart Association Conference in Chicago in November. I have included a picture with some of my classmates and colleagues from this summer. I am working on putting the final touches on my poster and preparing my presentation for the event. This is one of the most prestigious conferences in medicine. I will return next month with updates on how it went!"
