Mystery Donor Vocational Scholarship Fund

A donor came to us with an idea: he wanted to start a scholarship fund to help students who want to pursue working with their hands – the vocational careers.

But that’s not all.

For every 2 dollars that is raised, he will contribute $1. So, if you donate $500, then he will throw in another $250 of his own.

The donor, who would like to remain anonymous, wants to see the fund reach $15,000 before the end of 2018, with $10,000 coming from the community and $5,000 coming from his matching funds.

The individual behind this fund has been able to make a living working in executive roles in major construction companies and wants to give back to the Decatur County community and help future generations in the trades field.

Please consider donating to this scholarship fund that will help students today and forever in the future.

“My wife and I thought a long time about what to do with our estate. We have no children, and we’re gonna have some sort of an estate, so what’s the best use for that? And we both grew up around Greensburg.

We’re hoping that what we’re doing will at least start some kind of process where more people are interested in being involved in the young people getting into the trades so they will be a benefit to the community and to the country.”
